Initial Research Pathway
Topic: Hyundai Fuel Cell Technology
Shakir and I picked this because EVs are becoming more prevalent in the coming decades. Therefore, we have chosen this topic out of interest.
Initially, I had picked 2JZ-GTE engine made for the Toyota Supra MKIV because of my passionate love for motorcars. However, Shakir had another proposal which was an EV vehicle. After a discussion with him, we both agreed on the topic of Hyundai's Fuel Cell Technology.
We were intrigued by the progression of Singapore's perspective towards Electric Vehicles over the last decade. I vaguely remember when the first Tesla Model was imported into Singapore. The owner had to fork out an additional S$14000 just because it rans solely on electrical power. A decade later, the government starts to give out incentives and subsidies for car owners to convert their private vehicles to electric ones. I hope my upcoming report will shed light on the wonderful future that Electric Vehicles will usher in.
